Hear it from The Studio's students
"I started taking lessons with Shantanique my junior year of [high school]. I had just got in the top concert band in my high school and wanted first chair more than anything.
After studying with Shantanique, I made my way to first chair and had the opportunity to perform a solo at Carnegie Hall. Her mentorship and coaching played a tremendous part in my development as a flutist.
What impacted me the most, after reflecting on her teachings, ironically does not linger in the realm of music, but rather in the development of becoming a diligent and integral adult.
She wanted me to always give practicing my best effort. And as a teen in the midst of defining what hard work and perseverance looked like in my life, she led by example to show me the ropes.
So, a bit of advice to those under Shantanique's leadership and light. Practice. Assiduously. Not only because it will get you further than you may have imagined, but because she can tell if you haven't. And, with tough love and grace, she will point it out. Then as you stand there convicted, her hands will keep the beat, and she'll say, 'you can do better. Again.'
"I've been practicing with Shantanique as my flute teacher for almost half a year now...she's helped me with a lot of new interesting techniques that help me practice and perform. She's helped me with my overall technique as well"
"[Shantanique] has helped me gain so much knowledge on different notes and how to play the flute better. I'm happy to spend time around a teacher that helps me learn and gain experience".

Flutist and teacher, Shantanique Moore's vision for having a private teaching studio began at the age of 13 when she asked her band director if she could help students after school.
Shantanique planted a seed with an after-school group called "For Flutes Only" and it has now blossomed into a beautiful community.
For Flutes Only: The Studio introduces school aged students to flute repertoire, chamber music opportunities, practice techniques, and skills outside of the conventional band/orchestra program.
Emphasis is placed on music and flute proficiency and growth in confidence that will shine in the music world and beyond!
